"Introduction" -Interlude-

A small star fell to the Earth. Shortly after it came to life and sprouted arms and legs. It grew eyes, a nose and ears. But for some reason it didn't have a mouth. A man went up and asked the star. What do you eat? The star thus answered. I eat sounds with my ears. The sound of the rustling leaves in the wind, the sound of rain, car horns, even your footsteps. I can eat anything. Then the man said this. Okay. Then let me teach you about something you've never eaten before. "Music'"

 

"Rhythm" -Interlude-

The star felt the sound of his heartbeat for the first time and claps his hands and feet to the beat. The man clapped his hands and feet along with the star. This is what is called rhythm. That's right, rhythm is everywhere. The sound of the waves, the hands of a clock, even the chirping of birds - they are all rhythm. The two of them together sounded out various rhythms. For the star, each and every rhythm was a feast.

"Melody" -Interlude-

After eating lots of the rhythms, the star laid down next to the man and looked up at the night sky. Look at the sky. That's where you came from. There are a lot of stars yeah? We draw lines and connect the stars and imagine the gods of the mythology. Suddenly five shooting stars passed by and lines of light were drawn onto the sky. Between those lines, lots of stars began to twinkle all at once. It looked as if it were sheet music. For the mouth-less star, the man whistle the melody.

"Harmony" -Interlude-

While the star was looking up at the pink moon, the man suddenly asked a question. Hey, what do you think is the difference between sound and music? The star thought for a while and then answered. The one that tastes better is music. The man nodded and told the star the answer. That is true but One beat does not make a rhythm. One sound does not make a melody. A chord can be made from three sounds. In other words, it can't exist from just one. Listen.

"Discord" -Interlude-

Captivated by the music, before they realized it they were surrounded by lots of living things. Everyone was happily listening to the music, but all of a sudden a fight began, and their surroundings became noisy. Shouts and screams came from all over the place, and the star unconsciously covered his ears. This is really hard on the ears. Why? If many gather together, doesn't it become music? The man answered. At times there is a thing called discord too. What are you going to do? Are you okay with just being silent and covering your ears? The star had a thought. If I had a mouth. Then I could stop everyone. The star's heart began to tremble. And then the star shouted. Before he knew it, a mouth was born.

"Music" -Interlude-

By the voice of the star, the discord came to a stop, everyone reconciled with each other and continued to happily sing until day break. At last the sun rose and the man stood up. I think it's time for me to go. The star thanked the man. Ok. Thank you for teaching me about music. The man smiled and walked away. A strong wind blew across between them flowing towards the shining light.

"Outroduction" -Interlude-

Watching the departing man the star suddenly realized something. Hey! I didn't have a mouth so why were you able to talk to me? The man spoke without turning around. There was music inside of you from the beginning. That's it. The star nodded and widely waved his hand. He then opened his mouth and said his first words for himself. While there is still music within me, I will continue to sing.
